Water pressure-tight refurbishment of the existing cable entry unsing flange
Refurbishment of secondary substation Soldatenteile Ruggell (LI)
Ruggell
CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
"In Soldatenteile secondary substation in Ruggell, we were having multiple water leaks. We couldn't stop these with the sealing materials that were fitted. Hauff-Technik offered us the option to seal this secondary substation using flanges and press seals, all without having to remove the cables again. In consultation with Hauff-Technik Swiss AG, installation was quick and easy. We are currently looking in to the extent to which changing to Hauff-Technik sealing systems in general is possible."

A solution involving flanges was selected, to seal irregularities in the core drills and duct, which are partly set in concrete flush with the inner wall.
The split flange design allows the flange to be fitted to the existing cables. The electricity did not have to be switched off for installation, and no new cables had to be connected.
The cables are sealed against the socket with split press seals.
This sealing system constitutes future cable entry that is secure. This would result in annual savings.
The blind seals have an eyelet on the inside, for attaching a pull cord.
